THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Data Quality Expert for a multi-year enterprise data program at our UAE-based sovereign wealth investment client. This is an offshore contract-mode role — you will work remotely from India, collaborating daily with the client's Data & AI team in Abu Dhabi. You will report functionally into the client's Data Governance Lead and operate at the technical core of their Enterprise Data Program.
The client's data platform is built on Microsoft Fabric, with a Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold). Attaccama ONE is the primary data quality and MDM/RDM instrument. Your work spans data profiling, DQ rule enforcement, cleansing backlog ownership, and Attaccama ONE configuration for Master Data and Reference Data Management.
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS — please do not apply if you do not meet ALL of these
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Data Profiling, Data Quality Management, or Data Engineering within enterprise environments. Generalist BI/analyst backgrounds do not qualify.
Hands-on production experience with Attaccama ONE — including DQ rule authoring, MDM configuration (golden record deduplication, entity matching, survivorship rules), or RDM configuration. This is the single gating skill for this role. Candidates without direct Attaccama ONE production experience will not be considered. Please do not apply based on Informatica MDM, Reltio, Profisee, or other adjacent tools.
Advanced Python and PySpark scripting for distributed data profiling. You should be able to write a PySpark profiling job independently, not copy from templates.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and the Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold layers).
Hands-on experience building Data Quality dashboards and scorecards in Power BI for executive audiences.
Strong communication skills in English — you will explain survivorship rules, DQ rule logic, and profiling outcomes to non-technical business stewards daily over video calls.
Working knowledge of at least one major data privacy framework — UAE PDPL, GDPR, or EDP-STD-002.
Ability to overlap with UAE working hours (GST, UTC+4). Standard overlap is approximately 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM IST. You must be comfortable with this working window.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Designing and executing data profiling at Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in Microsoft Fabric for HR, Finance, Procurement, and Digital domains
Defining and enforcing DQ rules — accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness — with domain stewards
Profiling Gold-layer data with Attaccama ONE; Python / PySpark for upstream pipeline checks
Configuring Attaccama ONE for MDM — golden record deduplication, entity matching, survivorship rules
Producing DQ reports with flagged issues, affected records, root causes, and business impact
Facilitating Session 0 workshops with domain stewards over video
Maintaining and prioritising the data cleansing backlog
Building DQ dashboards and scorecards in Power BI integrated with Attaccama ONE metrics
Ensuring PII handling complies with UAE PDPL, GDPR, and EDP-STD-002
Producing monthly DG Council and ARCC reports
NICE TO HAVE (not mandatory, but a meaningful advantage)
Attaccama ONE certifications
Oracle Fusion ERP or other large-scale ERP data source exposure
Prior offshore engagement experience with Middle East or European clients
BFSI, sovereign wealth, or government client background
